The Race into Darkness and the Race into Light

In recent years I have become aware that we as a species are progressing on two very divergent paths. On the one hand, we appear to be using resources and creating CO2 emissions—at a rate 44 percent faster than nature can regenerate and reabsorb them—and concentrating wealth in fewer and fewer hands. That, to me, signals an imminent disaster in which we humans are likely to go extinct, or to be reduced to small bands of hunter-gatherers who manage to escape the devastation. It has seemed that we are on a collision course that is nearly inevitable. This is a dark and worrisome vision.

On the other hand, we seem to be reaching the point where we are becoming conscious of our own evolution as a species and might even be able in some way to influence our future direction. I have been following the work of Barbara Marx Hubbard, who proposed the idea of conscious evolution as a way forward for us. This is an illuminating vision.

It has appeared to me that we are likely to reach some point of critical mass where the forces of darkness and the forces of light described in the two previous paragraphs are likely to come to fruition at about the same time. I have thought of it as a random “throw of the dice” as to which of these two trajectories would win out.

I have just read Jude Currivan’s new book, The Cosmic Hologram: In-formation at the Center of Creation  [CLICK HERE].  I feel that the ideas expressed there, if implemented, would ensure the ultimate winning of the race by conscious evolution, saving us from a descent into darkness. Jude presents a “WholeWorld-View” that reconciles science with universal spiritual experience to show us the way forward.

My concern is that, in spite of Jude's wonderful ability to express complex ideas in down-to-earth terms, the book will go unread by the general public. I would like to make this book required reading for those of us who are struggling with these issues.

Jude Currivan is an English cosmologist, planetary healer, and futurist. She has a Master’s degree in quantum physics from Oxford University and a doctorate in archaeology from the University of Reading. She is a major thinker and a person who has “walked between the worlds” from an early age. Elyn and I know her personally and have traveled with her in England. She is the “real thing,” and I trust her vision.

Some friends who read the book have found it hard going. If you are not ready for quantum physics, however watered down, you might consider signing up for Jude’s online course at Ubiquity University [CLICK HERE] and have Jude teach you in videos from her living room in Wiltshire, England. If you are not interested in academic credit, you can get full access to all the materials of this course for $50 by signing up for what they call the “lite” version. You get permanent access to 15 modules, each containing several video teachings, review sessions, quizzes, slide shows, and writing assignments, along with a weekly online live session with Jude. I’ve read the book and am about half-way through the online course. It is inspiring to be face-to-face with such a clear, sharp, and insightful mind. She can explain quantum physics so that it makes sense to me.

Our news sources seem to be obsessed with heralding the coming darkness. Jude shows the way to the coming of light. I know which side I want to be on, and I urge you to join me there.
